On va à Paris! TESOL France Conference 2024

We are so excited to share that I've has been accepted as a presentation speaker at TESOL France's annual colloquium this coming November in Paris! I'll be presenting on embracing change in curriculum design and implementation to make the most of the time you have with your adult Francophone learners.

After a year of teaching two groups of school teachers in the French public school system and collecting qualitative and quantitative data from each session, I'll be discussing how we can establish true communicative competence in the classroom by equipping our learners with the skills they need and want to use everyday in the time we have during each session, rather than spending time adding a lexicon and mental load they don't need and won't use.

With a Système D Language Solutions program built specifically with goal of equipping participants with the English skills needed to meet and thrive under new immersion school standards for select French schools, we'll be diving into the applications for navigating progress blockers, creating the most effective learning environment in-person and online, and pedagogy for adult learner independence, relevance, and long-term success!

It's time to embrace change in estimating time and effort needed to make significant progress and we'll talk about how to do just that in November!

If you are in the Paris area in November, consider joining us at the conference! This is a great conference to attend if you want to "dip your toes in the pool" of TESOL before jumping in. Information about the conference and registration details can be found at https://www.tesol-france.org/en/pages/190/colloquium-2024.html.

Thanks for reading and following along!
